Begin your Ashtanga yoga practice in this 4-Week Series. Whether you are completely new to Ashtanga Yoga, or are familiar with the method through led classes, if you enjoy movement-based activities and you love to learn by jumping-in, this Beginner Mysore Immersion Series will be a great fit for you!
New students start the traditional way that Ashtanga Yoga is taught – Mysore style. You do NOT need to know ANY of the sequencing to take this series. That is where we come in to teach you! Students practice at their own pace in a group setting and the teacher walks around and provides verbal instruction and physical assists where needed. Mysore teaches you how to develop a personal practice and how to go deeper than you ever would in a led class.
Your first class will begin with breathing, linking your breath to movement and building a practice one asana or posture at a time. In this immersion series, no more than 4 beginners will start the series together immersed in a class with other students. For the first hour of practice, the teacher will focus entirely on the beginner students. By the time you have completed this workshop series, you will have a strong understanding of the Mysore method and a foundation to build upon.
Upon completion of this series, you will be comfortable joining Mysore or Beginner's Mysore. Most students will feel comfortable joining the Led Half Primary Ashtanga class.
Early Bird Pricing until August 26 - $90 ($105) includes unlimited yoga for a month. Month is activated upon first day of use, you may decide to try other classes during the series or wait until you have completed the full series. Unlimited month is valid for 6 months after purchase.
