Ashtanga and Vinyasa are two dynamic and cardiovascular styles of asana practice built around the Surya Namasakaras (Sun Salutations). The poses that create these salutes can begin to wreak havoc on the body if done incorrectly and can lead to rotator cuff, lower back and wrists issues.
In this two hour workshop, circling around Surya Namaskara A and B, we'll explore each pose individually in detail, put subsets of the poses together by linking our movements to our breath, explore how these postures relate to one another and finally put each sequence together from start to finish.
