Trini Foundation Fundraiser Class

  • The Shala of Pittsburgh Ashtanga Yoga 4319 Butler Street Pittsburgh, PA, 15201 United States (map)

The Trini Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing the life-changing practice of Ashtanga yoga to those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction. It is the foundation's mission to provide yoga as a tool to aid in the recovery process and help those who are suffering maintain long-term sobriety.

Through the Trini Foundation Scholarship program, individuals in recovery from addiction and other economically disadvantaged individuals are provided tuition assistance at yoga studios around the country.  These scholarships give everyone in the community access to the life-changing Ashtanga yoga practice under the supervision of trained yoga teachers.

The state of Pennysylvania ranks 9th in the country (2015 stats) for drug overdose deaths.  Drug overdose is the leading cause of Injury Death in the United States (above car accidents, etc).  Addiction is a disease that should be treated comprehensively and individually.  Community is KEY in the recovery process.

We are proud to become a partner studio with The Trini Foundation.  September is National Recovery Month.  Join us in this important cause to help raise awareness of the epidemic of drug addiction.  Hello us raise funds for the foundation and provide an important and helpful tool to those in need.

Saturday, September 30th, 10am - 12pm, Half Led Primary Series with Laurie Held-Ireland.  Class is donation based, and 100% of the proceeds will go toward the Trini Foundation's Cause.  Please reserve your spot online as our max capacity is 40 students.  Donate in person at The Shala (recommended donation $15)
