Description:

Shoulder mobility is crucial to our yoga practice, but it’s so easy to overlook. The shoulder joint is a complex ball-and-socket joint that allows for a wide range of motion, yet it’s also a frequent area of tension and tightness. It’s not uncommon for our shoulders to have a more limited range of motion compared to the rest of our bodies. And if the shoulders are tight or restricted, we compensate in other parts of the body.

Maybe you want to be able to grab that foot behind your head in raja kapotasana, or keep the elbows from splaying out to the sides in urdva dhanurasana; feel more stable in your downdog or build a solid pincha.

Learn how all of these postures can be made a lot easier when we take our attention to the shoulders in this 4-week series.

All levels of student are welcome. Modifications and variations are always given.
