I used to be so afraid of being upside down. And I’m not just talking about yoga poses—I mean I wouldn’t get on an amusement park ride if it went anywhere close to upside down.
But when I found myself in a small class with my first teacher and he asked “do you want to learn pincha?” my immediate answer was “yes.” I was too afraid of that “hips over shoulders” feeling that I couldn’t even kick up to the wall without his help. But, once I finally got up there, he helped me find my balance and, just like that, I felt unstoppable.
Whether you’re brand new to being upside down or just a little stuck with pincha, in this series we’re going to break everything down. You might discover that you already have the strength and flexibility, you just need to build the muscle memory and the confidence.
All levels of students are welcome. Adaptations and variations are always given.
