Intro to Ashtanga Yoga Workshop

Join us in person at The Shala for this informative workshop on Ashtanga Yoga and the traditional Mysore method of teaching. Ashtanga Yoga is a complex, challenging, energizing yet meditative form of vinyasa yoga in which students are taught individually in a group setting, providing hands on instruction and assistance as needed.

This workshop is designed for the beginner and the seasoned yogi alike. If you are new to Ashtanga Yoga, you will find this workshop will help you gain a deeper understanding of the Ashtanga practice and will prepare you to practice the way Ashtanga Yoga was meant to be taught and learned: Mysore Style!

Workshop education will include:

-A comfortable, accepting class environment in which to learn about a method of yoga that may not be so familiar to you!

-1 month of unlimited classes at The Shala

-A review of the history and practice of Ashtanga Yoga

-A review, break down, and practice of the standing sequence, first portion of seated sequence, and the last few closing sequence postures of the Ashtanga Yoga method

Investment: $100 (Include 3 hour workshop and 1 month of unlimited  in person and online yoga classes with The Shala)

Class will be limited to 6 students! 


All Indoor Yoga Guidelines must be followed. Students will be required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability Due to Coronavirus/COVID 19 before joining a class indoors.
